5 Tips for Maintaining & Driving your Toyota Hybrid Cars during the Rainy Seasons:
1. Toyota HEV is safe to drive during rainy season.
2. For heavy flooded areas, above deep gutter deep 150 – 200mm, it is best not cross because like any other conventional sedans it will have a higher risk of damage at this level.
3. Auto shutdown is a safety system in the event of forced water entry at the HEV Battey. Its operations will stop to prevent further damage.
4. Regularly, have your Preventive Maintenance Services at Toyota dealership. They will check the Battery Seals. This is to ensure that the battery compartment is properly sealed to prevent water ingress. Included in the checking is the hybrid system, brakes, tires, and wipers.
5. Monitor Electrical Systems. Hybrid cars have complex electrical systems. Pay attention to any warning lights or unusual behaviors, and have them checked by authorized Toyota dealers.
